Beginner Course (Wave 1)
No freediving experience needed, in this course you learn everything you need to be an independant, safe freediver and good buddy for other freedivers :)
Before the Course – What You Need
Basic swimming ability and comfort in water.
No freediving experience required.
Good general health and ability to hold breath for a short time (no strict minimum).
After the Course – What You Can Do
Hold your breath for 1.5+ minutes comfortably.
Dive to 12–20 meters in open water using safe techniques.
Perform proper buddy procedures and basic rescue skills.
Understand freediving theory: physics, physiology, and safety principles.

Ready to take your freediving to the next level? In Wave 2, we build on your foundation with new skills, deeper dives, and even more confidence :)
Before the Course – What You Need
Have completed a recognized Wave 1 (or equivalent) freediving course
Be comfortable with basic breath-holds, safety, and buddy procedures
Be able to dive to at least 12–20 meters in open water (or swim 30 meters in the pool with fins)
Understand and perform basic equalization (Frenzel or Valsalva)
Feel confident and relaxed in the water
After the Course – What You Can Do
Hold your breath for over 2.5 minutes
Dive comfortably to depths of 24–30 meters (open water) or swim 50 meters with fins in the pool
Use advanced equalization and finning techniques for greater efficiency
Apply new mental strategies for relaxation and focus
Perform advanced safety and rescue skills as a buddy
Continue your freediving journey with more confidence, skill, and enjoyment

FAQs
Who can learn freediving?
Anyone in good health and comfortable in the water can start freediving.
Do I need experience?
No prior experience is needed. I teach beginner to advanced levels right by the ocean.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a swimsuit, towel, water to stay hydrated, and a positive attitude ready to learn.
How long are the courses?
Courses typically take 4 to 5 half day sessions planned and distributed in a way that suits your learning journey.
Is equipment provided?
Basic gear like masks and snorkels are provided, but you may bring your own.
Where do classes take place?
Classes happen at beautiful ocean sites around Curacao, with easy water access. See the About page for more info
